Harrison Gardner, Honours Student

Picture

Growing up I loved dinosaurs just like any other kid, the only difference is that I never really grew up, and naturally that led to me translating this childish affinity for prehistoric creatures  into a career.

The research project that I am currently undertaking is making use of various species of invertebrate fossils from Antarctica. Hopefully, these fossils will be able to reveal the paleoconditions of the Antarctic Peninsula leading up to the large K/T extinction. I shall also create a high resolution geochronological stratigraphic profile. Finally, I will explore the Late Cretaceous paleotemperatures in order to determine if sea and sheet ice was present.
