Quaid Khan Jadoon
PhD student at Department of Earth and Oceans James Cook University Townsville Australia, under the supervision of Dr. Eric Roberts. His PhD project is entitled: Unconventional shale gas Reservoir characterization and modelling in the Cooper Basin  Queensland and South Australia. The aim of the study is  the critical geological characteristics of the Cooper basin  Permian lacustrine  Roseneath and Murteree shales. These characteristics include stratigraphy, organic petrography,  lithofacies, biomarkers, petrophysics, geochemistry (Total Organic Carbon) TOC, burial history, and thermal maturity
(with the help of  core plugs, chip cuttings, wireline logs and 3D seismic data). Some geomechanical properties will also be investigated. The data will be used to develop petrophysical evaluation, mineral modelling and thermal maturity modelling. Using  Basin modelling, prospective shale horizons for exploration targets can be evaluated.
He  has worked, Middle East, North America, Europe, and Africa for  LMKR (Landmark resources) Halliburton primarily on 2D and 3D seismic interpretation and integration of geological, geophysical and geochemical data for hydrocarbon exploration.
